The Moab shock from Cogent Dynamics will change how you feel about your KLR. You may like it now, maybe even like it a lot, but you will absolutely fall in love with it once you mount up a Moab shock.
Spring duties are handled by a custom spring available in either Standard or Heavy-Duty weights. The Standard spring will be fine if you are under 250 pounds and don't ride with luggage or passengers often. Ride heavily loaded or with a passenger regularly and you will probably want the Heavy-Duty spring.
For a true comfort and performance package, we highly recommend upgrading your front suspension at the same time.
If you have '87-'07 KLR, you MUST order a new mounting bolt. Not required for 2008-2018 models.

Does your stock vacuum operated petcock not shut off when your bike is parked? Replace your stock vacuum operated petcock with this manual one. We've been asking for a bigger tank for years and it's finally happened. This is the big brother to the very popular 5.3 gallon Acerbis tank with some modifications to add another gallon and a half of capacity. It's the same width between the knees but extends wider and further forward in front of the knee pockets. Installation of the Acerbis tank requires relocation of the front turn signals, otherwise the stock signals will contact the tank at full lock. Our Turn Signal Relocation Brackets move the front turn signals up and forward to clear the bigger tank.
Here is the little switch that mounts inside your brake or clutch lever perch and controls the brake light or clutch safety circuit. This switch often gets damaged in an unplanned dismount (aka: crash) or the plastic simply cracks from age.
