Due to the fact that Cogent Rebuilt Shocks utilize a stock shock body, we require your original shock in exchange to maintain supply availability. Please ensure that your core shock body is in proper condition, free from visible corrosion, and that all threads are functioning smoothly without cross-threading, stripping, or any other damage. We conduct a thorough inspection of all shock cores upon receipt and retain the right to decline acceptance and return the core without refunding the core charge if the shock body does not meet acceptable standards. Please refer to the images below for an example of an acceptable shock core.
The core exchange program offers two distinct options:
1. You may send us your shock core for examination and approval before we dispatch your order. Upon receipt of your shock in satisfactory condition, we will then ship your Cogent Rebuilt Shock.
2. Alternatively, we can ship your Cogent Rebuilt Shock prior to receiving your core, contingent upon a core charge of $250, which is incorporated into the price of this option. You will then have 45 days to return your shock core to us in order to receive a full refund credited back to your purchasing card. Additionally, you have the option to receive $300 in store credit in the form of a digital gift certificate which includes an extra $50 for the purchase of any items available at ProCycle.
Upon processing your order, we will promptly issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number via email for the return of your shock core. If you do not receive this email within one business day, please reach out to us by phone/text at 541-688-9543 or email returns@procycle.us to request the RMA number.
Please refrain from sending us your shock core without an RMA number, as we cannot guarantee a prompt and complete exchange or refund if this procedure is not followed correctly.
Parts to Ship to ProCycle
If you have purchased a "Rebuilt Stock Shock with Cogent Shock Shaft Assembly," it is unnecessary to reuse the lower spring seat hardware from your original shock. However, we recommend removing these components prior to shipping your core to minimize shipping weight costs.
If you have ordered a "Cogent Rebuilt-Revalved Stock Shock," please retain all of your lower spring seat hardware, as you will require all of it for the assembly of your new shock with the spring.
Please disassemble your shock unit, including the removal of the spring. Do not send the spring to us, as it is heavy and will increase your shipping expenses, and we do not utilize them.
