Core Charge Details
Because the Cogent Rebuilt Shocks use a stock body, we must have your stock shock in exchange so we can keep up our supply. Please make sure the body is in good condition with no visible corrosion, and all threads are in smooth working order. We inspect all shock cores and reserve the right to refuse and return the core if the shock body is not in acceptable condition. Refer to pictures below for an example of a good shock core.
You can either send us your shock, and we will ship your Cogent Rebuilt Shock as soon as we receive your shock. Or we add a core charge of $250 to your order and then we send your new shock immediately. Then you have 45 days to send us your shock and receive a full refund to your credit card. Or, we can give you $300 in Store Credit. Yes, $300 in Store Credit. That is an extra $50 to spend on whatever you want from ProCycle.
Whichever method you select, you must call us first at (541) 688-9543 and get a RMA number. This allows us to credit the correct customer when your shock arrives.
All returned shocks will be inspected. Your core shock must be in good rebuildable condition. Damaged shocks will not be accepted for exchange.
Parts to Ship to ProCycle
If you have ordered a "Rebuilt Stock Shock with Cogent Shock Shaft Assembly", then you need to send us all of the lower spring seat hardware from your original shock.
If you have ordered a "Cogent Rebuilt-Revalved Stock Shock", then please hang onto all of your lower spring seat hardware, you will need all of it to assemble your new shock.
Do not send your spring to us. It is heavy and will cost you more to ship it and we do not use them.
To return your stock shock body, you must call (541) 688-9543 to obtain a RMA Number (so we can keep track of who gets the credit) before shipping your shock to us.
