The Moab shock from Cogent Dynamics will change how you feel about your GEN 3 KLR650. You may like it now, maybe even like it a lot, but you will absolutely fall in love with it once you mount up a Moab shock.
Spring duties are handled by a custom spring available in either Standard or Heavy-Duty weights. The Standard spring will be fine if you are under 250 pounds and don't ride with luggage or passengers often. Ride heavily loaded or with a passenger regularly and you will probably want the Heavy-Duty spring.
There is very limited manual preload adjustment access on the Gen 3 KLR650 without removing the shock. Therefore, the addition of the Remote Preload adjuster gives you the convenience of optimizing your rear suspension spring preload for quick leveling (load compensation) of your bike to accommodate a passenger, luggage or just to change ride characteristics based on your preferences. The adjustment which would normally require reaching the shock in your bike to turn a threaded collar using a tool can be easily adjusted by twisting a remote knob which uses the convenience of hydraulics to change the spring preload up to 100% (9 mm total range of preload change).
There is a mounting conflict for the Remote Preload adjuster with the Happy Trails and T-REX crash bars.

All PC6 models have an end-user adjustment of +/-15 in the FUEL table and +/- 8 in the timing table (if applicable). This adjustment is on top of the values that are in the BASE map loaded to the device. This BASE map can be any of the available maps from the Dynojet website, or those you may have received from a third party.
Power Commander Fuel Controller (PCFC) Product Introduction
Inexpensive yet very precise way to control your fuel curve.
The Power Commander FC is a plug-n-play fuel management device pre-programmed with Make/ Model specific maps. In addition the Power Commander FC has the added ability to modify or change these maps on the fly without a computer.
Users can literally select between a Power Commander FC Map, custom-built maps, or even fine tune low, mid or high rpm ranges while sitting on the bike and without plugging into a computer. Standard +/- 15% increments from selected map settings, different ranges are available using the supplied Control Center software.
Users can also load up to 10 of their personally built Power Maps into the Power Commander FC and select between them while in the saddle - eliminating the need to "re-boot" with the computer every time a new map is desired.

1. SPEED sensor signal coming from VSS Speed Sensor or ECU.
2. TACH signal coming from ECU, Crank Position Sensor, or Cam Position Sensor.
The Speedo DRD corrects and fixes the speed signal after it was altered by something else, such as sprocket changes or tires size changes or transmission changes.
The Universal Kit does require some basic wiring to install. It's fairly easy, and only 4 wires; [positive, ground, signal-in, signal-out]. Universal Kit works for Cars, Trucks, & Motorcycles with digital odometers, and 3 wire speed sensors.
Your choice of an aluminum bolt-on foot pad or a steel weld-on unit. Each will make the footprint of the stock side stand considerably larger, preventing your DR from tipping over in soft terrain. The bolt-on unit is cut from aluminum and then powder coated black, it comes with stainless steel mounting hardware.
The bolt-on pad and does require use of a drill for installation. The weld-on pad will need to be welded to the stand and then the entire unit painted for corrosion protection.
For the DR650 that has been lowered or converted with supermoto wheels. This stand is 1.5" (40mm) shorter than the stock unit.
