I happen to be a huge fan of the stock XR650L fender. It reminds me of some plastic Jai Alai toys I had as a kid. This brace stiffens it up big time. It no longer waffles and wallows in cross winds. It fit best on top of the fender and gives it a nice stripe down the middle. Easy install with a couple drills and a few minutes. Prepare yourself for cursing the speedo cable and guide.
