The Phillips type screws used in Japanese motorcycles are actually Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) screws and are easy to strip if you are using a regular Phillips screwdriver.

Here is a little kit that will make removing and replacing JIS screws much easier. Includes 2 each of JIS No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 bits.

Emulators make damping rod forks perform like well-tuned cartridge forks. Emulators are tunable valves that sit inside your forks on top of the damping rods and are held in place by the fork springs. Simple to install and completely tunable for all conditions and rider preferences.

The Modoc is an excellent replacement for the stock shock. With adjustable rebound damping and preload, you can tailor the performance to match your riding style.

Select the spring you want installed based on the load you plan to carry. For most riders, the 7.1 kg/mm spring will suit you perfectly. Weigh more than 250 lbs, or are loaded to the max, think about the 8.1 kg/mm spring. Please call with any questions.

ROK Straps are a two-piece strap with a quick-release buckle in the middle and loops on each end. One end of the strap is a heavy duty nylon, the other has a strong stretchable section. Instead of hooks that can slip or come undone, ROK Straps have a loop sewn in each end. you pass the buckle around your frame, rack or other secure point and then back through the loop in the end making for a very secure mount. The KLR650 is rather hard on the cush drive rubbers. Replace these any time you feel excessive play in the sprocket hub. Excessively worn dampers can cause the cush hub bearing to fail - which will ruin your sprocket carrier.
