This kit includes a sealed LED headlight assembly with plug & play electrical connection, adjustable powder coated steel mounting bracket set, and mounting hardware.
Installation is a five minute, one beer exercise. If you can change a residential light bulb you will have no problem installing this conversion kit. We promise.
Please note that you will need to reuse your OEM upper headlight mounting grommet and two aim adjustment springs. Or add new ones to freshen up your whole headlight unit.

Transform your ride. Better still, this dual-sport version pivots the shield down and forward to get it out of your way for off-road riding!
What's included in the kit:
Their complete bolt-on system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.
The MadStad brackets bolt to the top of your fork clamps and are completely free of the handlebars. You can adjust the shield for the optimum height, angle and airflow for comfortable street and highway riding. When going off-road you can leave your comfort adjustment as-is and pivot the entire system down and forward in front of the headlight so you can get it out of your face completely. When it comes time to hit the pavement again, simply pivot it back up and you are back in street riding comfort mode.
Special tool to remove the flywheel/rotor from the end of the crankshaft. You have to remove the flywheel/rotor to upgrade the doohickey.

The Moab shock from Cogent Dynamics will change how you feel about your KLR. You may like it now, maybe even like it a lot, but you will absolutely fall in love with it once you mount up a Moab shock.
Spring duties are handled by a custom spring available in either Standard or Heavy-Duty weights. The Standard spring will be fine if you are under 250 pounds and don't ride with luggage or passengers often. Ride heavily loaded or with a passenger regularly and you will probably want the Heavy-Duty spring.
For a true comfort and performance package, we highly recommend upgrading your front suspension at the same time.
If you have '87-'07 KLR, you MUST order a new mounting bolt. Not required for 2008-2018 models.
