Skid Plate
This is one of the gnarliest skid plate made for the KLR. Made from 3/16" aluminum, it is laser cut and CNC formed. All seams are welded on both sides and the entire plate is black texture powder coated. The plate mounts in minutes using stainless steel hardware.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The standard kit will work with all crash bars except for Givi and Happy Trails. Select the Givi option for that brand. This plate will not work with the Happy Trails crash bars.
Select the optional heavy duty mounting brackets if you want to replace the wimpy stock mounts with steel brackets.

Handguard

Brake Guard
Engine Guard
SW-Motech Crash Bars and Engine Guards for both generations of the KLR bolt to the frame, not the foot peg bolts for greater strength. These German engineered Guards are 27mm heavy-duty mild steel tubing. Guards are powder coated in a beautiful black finish that is very durable. Three mount points on each side with front mounts that include vibration-isolating bushings. Kit includes Left and Right Crash bars, Complete mounting hardware and thorough installation instructions.
Please note that these Crash Bars are compatible with the revised welded SW-Motech Skid Plate (PN MSS.08.469.10000) with cutouts to provide space for the bars to fit. However, these bars are NOT compatible with the earlier style riveted SW Motech Skid Plates (PN MSS.08.347.10001).

Frame
Side Stand
Double the size of your side stand footprint and half the chances of your KLR tipping over when parked on soft terrain. This laser cut, TIG welded 0.190" thick slice of aluminum bolts to your machine with just the addition of a hole in the stock side stand pad. Just takes minutes to mount.
Footpegs
These low peg mounts will drop your footpegs 1.5" and move them to the rear 1" for a much more comfortable riding position, especially for taller riders. Unlike relocation plates, these mounts do not hang dangerously below the frame. You can mount stock or aftermarket pegs and they are compatible with all skid plates, crash bars, and center stands.
New 10.9 high strength mounting bolts are included. Once installed the foot controls will need adjustment and the brake switch spring will need to be slightly modified.
Center Stand
The indestructible, yet lightweight steel tube construction offers the best angle and ground clearance, makes it easy to jack up and provides stability - whether it's during maintenance or on the road. These great grip pads give you that improved relationship between you and your machine. You will feel the difference the minute you throw your leg over. Squeeze your tank and feel what a solid seat position is and does for you. They will assist in reduction of vibration, increase in control, and increase in comfort.
Will also help you cover wear spots on your tank whether it be the stock metal or a plastic tank. We tested had a couple sets of these on bikes with plastic tanks for at least 3 years and saw no signs of bubbling, peeling or coming off in any way.
Get better range from your early KLR650 by adding an IMS 6.6 gallon fuel tank. The big tank also provides radiator protection.
Designed to enhance the appearance of your motorcycle, yet provide greater riding distance per tankful. Larger capacity than stock, yet very slim and sleek. Perfect for the dunes or the race track! These tanks are made with POLYETHYLENE CROSSLINK for extra strength and durability.
Natural color is recommended if you wish to easily see the fuel level in the tank.

Does your stock vacuum operated petcock not shut off when your bike is parked? Replace your stock vacuum operated petcock with this manual one. Must be shut off any time the bike is parked for more than a few hours. Fits stock or aftermarket tanks. Plastic tanks may need the hole 'ovalized' to fit the dual standpipes.

Foam & Cover Kit
This is a high-quality seat cover done by Moose Racing for the KLR. This is a replacement cover only, no seat foam and you must install on your existing pan with existing foam. Heavy duty marine grade vinyl, and UV protected for lasting quality. Double stitched to ensure extra durability.
Check out the seat warmer we carry. Put this in before tacking your cover in place and keep yourself warm during even the coldest rides. Nothing like toasted buns to make a ride comfortable!
Complete Seat
State-of-the-art replacement seats, Sargent seats are built on a percision-molded lightweight Polytec seat pan. Sargent's proprietary seat foam (Super Cell Atomic Foam) is their own unique blend of resilience, firmness, and vibration-absorption qualities, making it well suited for long distance comfort and support. Sargent seats are covered in a marine-grade, UV-stablized mildew resistant CarbonFX vinyl. Available in standard height and 1" lower than stock. These seats will fit bikes with the stock, IMS, or any other aftermarket fuel tank.
Does not fit the the "C" (European) models.
Corbin seats are carefully designed to provide a comfortable riding position. They are firm and supportive which allows you to ride all day without fatigue unlike the stock seat. Windscreen
Zero Gravity windscreens feature the finest optics of any windscreen on the market. All Zero Gravity windscreens are fabricated using highly specialized "vacuum forming" techniques similar to those used to form aircraft canopies. The result is a virtually distortion free optical lens.
Made from the finest grade of acrylic plastic, Zero Gravity windscreens are stretched as they are formed, a process which results in superior strength and flexibility. This flexibility allows the windscreen to absorb road vibrations and resist cracking. All of our windscreens are factory pre-drilled and ready to install. The long over-due rally shield for the 2008-on KLR650 is finally here!
Parabellum uses 4 steel brackets mounted to factory locations as well as our stand-off windshield design to ensure the customer doesn’t have to drill extra holes in the cowling but still achieves that iconic upright look of the real Dakar Rally bikes.
The Rally shield protects the rider’s torso/chest from air, cold, roost, branches and bushes while leaving the rider’s head/helmet in clean air. We recommend the Rally shield for riders seeking some protection, but prefer to be off-road.
The Rally shield is made from 1/8 inch cast acrylic and is 11.5 inches wide at the bottom and 17 inches tall.

Fender Brace
This is the brace needed to stabilize the wing like structure they call a front fender on the KLR – both generations. This simple bolt-on reduces wind buffeting and increases steering stability at highway speeds. It also helps carry the weight of a fender mounted tool bag.
Made from laser cut 5052 aluminum, then CNC formed and beautified with a shiny black powder coat. Easily mounts in a few minutes using the included stainless steel hardware.

Shock
The Moab shock from Cogent Dynamics will change how you feel about your GEN 3 KLR650. You may like it now, maybe even like it a lot, but you will absolutely fall in love with it once you mount up a Moab shock.
Spring duties are handled by a custom spring available in either Standard or Heavy-Duty weights. The Standard spring will be fine if you are under 250 pounds and don't ride with luggage or passengers often. Ride heavily loaded or with a passenger regularly and you will probably want the Heavy-Duty spring.
There is very limited manual preload adjustment access on the Gen 3 KLR650 without removing the shock. Therefore, the addition of the Remote Preload adjuster gives you the convenience of optimizing your rear suspension spring preload for quick leveling (load compensation) of your bike to accommodate a passenger, luggage or just to change ride characteristics based on your preferences. The adjustment which would normally require reaching the shock in your bike to turn a threaded collar using a tool can be easily adjusted by twisting a remote knob which uses the convenience of hydraulics to change the spring preload up to 100% (9 mm total range of preload change).
There is a mounting conflict for the Remote Preload adjuster with the Happy Trails and T-REX crash bars.

Forks
Race Tech has developed these fork springs specifically for the heavier weight of the KLR650.
Sold in pairs.
- The .70 springs are 75% stiffer than stock and will be a great choice for most riders
- The .80 springs are 100% stiffer than stock and will be a better choice for heavier riders
Not for 2014-2018 New Edition
A dual-rate fork spring for the early KLR650. These springs start with a .40 kg/mm winding and after approximately 20% of the stroke, stiffen up to .60 kg/mm for the remainder of the travel. A very nice improvement over the stock springs which are .40 kg/mm for the entire travel.
Cogent Drop-in Dynamic Cartridges will vastly improve both the compression and rebound damping of your stock forks. Designed by Rick at Cogent Dynamics on his high-tech suspension dyno, then tested and endorsed by KLR owners all over, these units have been given the seal of approval by the ProCycle staff for both performance and ease of installation. No disassembly of your forks, no drilling of damper rods. Just change the oil over to 5w and install the units under the springs and hit the trails.

Just change the oil over to 5w and install the DDCs under the springs and hit the trails.
Stiffer fork springs are recommended to get the full potential of the DDCs.

Handlebar
ProTaper's ADV handlebars give you a bar taller than most with extra space on the control portion of the bar. These bars provide an additional 20mm of space next to where your levers and throttle are located for your GPS, phone cradle, auxiliary switches, etc . They come in Adventure (which is taller than stock) and Adventure High (which is even taller).
These are oversize bars, which means they are are 1 1/8", not the smaller 7/8" diameter. Therefore some bikes will require a adapter and there are several available to select from.

Jet Kit
This kit includes 2 Needles that have been developed by JD Jetting and manufactured for them to their exacting specifications. These two needles allow a wide range of tuning possibilities and provide correct fuel delivery at any throttle position.
4 allen type screws for the float bowl are also enclosed should you strip out the stock screws during your tuning process. Complete instructions with photos, jetting suggestions for different set-ups and situations, 5 Main Jets and a drill bit complete the package.
Engine
The complete Thermo Control package - Our in-house designed Thermostat Bypass kit, a set of Custom Silicone Hoses and a Hi-Pressure Radiator Cap. All combined to help your KLR cooling system be at the top of its game. The Thermostat Bypass kit includes a thermostat with a higher temperature rating that will keep the motor more in its happy spot.
The Silicone hoses are stronger than the stock rubber units and will better resist cracking and leaking.

Clutch

An auto-clutch automatically feeds out the engagement of the clutch using centrifugal force. This allows you to start and stop without touching the clutch lever. Now available in the original version or the Ultra version. The original uses the front two emitters for low beam and then switches to the rear two emitters for high beam. The Ultra uses the front two emitters for low beam and then runs all 4 emitters on high beam at a reduced wattage. Wattage is 38 watts on low and 38 watts on high.
This bulb uses 4 Cree XHP 50 emitters, capable of more than 2500 lumens each. At 5000 lumens on each function, this is the brightest Cyclops H4 bulb.

Auxiliary Lights, Mount
From our friends at JNS Engineering, a very nice mount for a set of auxiliary lights on the front of your KLR650. Laser cut from 0.190" 5052 aluminum it is CNC formed and then powdercoated black. One of the best benefits is that it will not interfere with even the largest aftermarket fuel tanks. All included mounting hardware is stainless steel.

No repacking required. The LeoVince X3 Enduro is made with TIG welded stainless steel internals and aluminum outer shell. It features a semi-direct chamber design that is maintenance free. It's quiet too! Our own in-house testing showed a 84dB sound level using the USFS J1287 testing procedure. That is a bit louder than stock but significantly quieter than other aftermarket mufflers. It includes a certified Spark-Arrester. This muffler requires a stock muffler joint gasket when used with either the stock headpipe or the FMF headpipe.

Another great combination package - the FMF Powerbomb header and Powercore 4 Muffler.
The Powerbomb header promotes better flow by allowing a small expansion of the exhaust gasses improving scavenging. The 'bomb' also acts as a pre-muffler taking the edge off of overall sound levels.
The PowerCore4 muffler was developed to increase the horsepower and torque throughout the entire power curve and give you a noticeable power increase that is very usable and beneficial, no matter what your riding style or ability is.
Some of the features of the PowerCore 4 include: space age internal packing for maximum packing life; hi-flo modular end cap; internal shape of core uses hi-flo technology; enhanced sonic evacuation provides for higher flow and increased power and removable spark arrestor.

Headpipe
The FMF Powerbomb is a four stroke header pipe unit that has a unique bulge precisely located in the header system. A "pre-muffler" of sorts, the Power Bomb actually lowers sound output because it creates more surface area to absorb the sound medium (exhaust). The surface area of the perforated core lets the sound exit into the absorbing material (steel wool packing) and then allows the air to expand, cool and ramp back up with the higher pressure air. The result? The FMF Powerbomb is instrumental in reducing the decibel level on any four stroke and because of the expansion and contraction on exhaust through the system, the flow has been increased by nearly 10%. That means more power throughout the range.
