Cogent Dynamics Mojave product is a drop-in replacement for the DR650 stock shock, no modifications necessary. Mojave is not simply an improved Suzuki shock, it is a brand new replacement shock that is a totally engineered suspension solution to suit your needs.
Each shock is assembled and tested on the Cogent Dynamics suspension dyno before being packed up and shipped. Like its bigger brother the Mojave Pro Series, this will make an incredible difference in the handling of your DR.
Mojave Improvements over stock Mojave upper mount: uses a precision spherical bearing with dust seals, which accurately transfers damping forces to the motorcycle frame.
Internal improvements: Cogent designed shaft, seal head, damper piston, adjuster and clevis. Mono tube construction: precision honed, super-stiff steel body with an upper body cap machined from billet aluminum. Built-in billet aluminum separator piston provides an in-line gas pressure reservoir which eliminates the Suzuki rubber bladder.
This shock package includes the CNC machined Bling Ring Preload Adjuster Collar and Preload Bearing that will make preload adjustments easy.
Select the spring you want installed based on the load you plan to carry. For riders (and gear) less than 250 pounds we recommend the 7.6 kg/mm spring. If you regularly have more than 250 pounds the bike, you might want to use the 8.15 kg/mm spring. If you have any questions at all about this, please call.
You may choose to add the Hydraulic Preload Adjuster to make it the easiest of all. All you do is twist the knob. Includes mounting bracket for knob unit. (Some CA carb compliant models may need slight modification for mounting the preload adjuster.)

The progressive factory springs are well known to be way to soft for most riders. Cogent Dynamics straight rate springs will give better control in the rough stuff and when loaded up.

Included in this kit are 0.43 kg/mm Race Tech straight rate fork springs, Cogent DDC (Drop in Damper Cartridge) performance cartridges and two bottles of 5w fork oil.
Due to the small diameter of the KLX140 fork springs, the DDC Installation Tool will not work in the normal way on these bikes.

These quality sprockets are made from the finest 545C high carbon steel and are then heat treated and hand finished to meet or exceed OEM standards. Outlasts many mild steel or surface hardened sprockets as much as two and three times over.
JT steel rear sprockets are manufactured using only the finest grade of C49 high carbon steel.
Two styles of rear sprocket were used on the DR350. The 90-95 'S' and 'SE' (street legal) models have a cush drive hub. The 96-99 'S' and 'SE' as well as all of the 'dirt only' models have a non-cush rear hub. Select your sprocket accordingly. If you are not sure, look at your bike. If the sprocket is bolted directly to the wheel hub you have a non-cush model. If your sprocket is bolted to a separate sprocket carrier you have a cush drive model.
Now you can have minimum output shaft wear, minimum chain drive wear with the FRITZCO DRIVELINE sprocket. The design of their sprockets provide correct chain alignment, allows for full spline contact with the XR650L's output shaft, fit the counter shaft either way, and straight up no hassle installation with the OEM two bolt retainer and fasteners (except 13 tooth that comes with it's own quick change retainer). Their sprockets are machined from alloy steel that is comparable in every way to OEM Honda and the best offered by other manufactures. The sprockets are then given a heat treatment that provides a compatible sprocket for the Honda output shaft and longest wear life possible.
A way to double the sprockets life would be to have a sprocket that fits on the shaft either way so both sides of the teeth can be used. Bear in mind you can't wear one side of the teeth all the way through, then flip the sprocket, and expect double life. You must reverse when a normal wear pattern develops.
16 tooth sprocket is the biggest front sprocket that will run with the standard 110 link chain and 45 tooth rear sprocket on an XR650L The OEM cover will require modifying to use the 16 tooth sprocket on your XR650L.
Many riders choose to convert over from the stock 525 to a 520 chain. Besides being lighter and less expensive, a 520 chain is more readily available as well as having more sprocket size options.

Both sets are lower than stock in 1st and 2nd gear and taller than stock on 3rd thru 5th gears. Not only will Nova give you better gear ratios but the high quality components will shift smoother and engage more solidly. The tables below show each gear ratio and the original OEM ratios for comparison.
To help put the ratio changes into perspective switching from the OEM 15T to a 14T sprocket lowers the gearing by 7.1% in all gears. Switching from a 15T to a 16T raises the gearing by 6.6% in all gears.

The DG RST (Reduced Sound Technology) muffler is the quietest DG muffler and is designed especially for dual-sport machines (Just 84db @ 3200 RPM). A new baffle design dissipates sound waves reducing noise output in a very efficient manner. This new design also stretches out the time between muffler repacks.
