There is very limited manual preload adjustment access on the Gen 3 KLR650 without removing the shock. Therefore, the addition of the Remote Preload adjuster gives you the convenience of optimizing your rear suspension spring preload for quick leveling (load compensation) of your bike to accommodate a passenger, luggage or just to change ride characteristics based on your preferences.  The adjustment which would normally require reaching the shock in your bike to turn a threaded collar using a tool can be easily adjusted by twisting a remote knob which uses the convenience of hydraulics to change the spring preload up to 100% (9 mm total range of preload change).

There is a mounting conflict for the Remote Preload adjuster with the Happy Trails and T-REX crash bars.

*Important when lowering the rear suspension you want to raise the fork tubes in the clamps an equal amount of inches that the rear is being lowered. That way your bike will sit level when done.

Note: We only recommend the 2" lowering links for lighter non-aggressive riders as they allow the tire to rub when near bottoming.

Showa removed the schrader valve on many newer rear shocks. Now you need a needle to recharge your shock with nitrogen after a rebuild. Race Tech built this unit just for that job.

The FMF Powerbomb is a four stroke header pipe unit that has a unique bulge precisely located in the header system. A "pre-muffler" of sorts, the Power Bomb actually lowers sound output because it creates more surface area to absorb the sound medium (exhaust). The surface area of the perforated core lets the sound exit into the absorbing material (steel wool packing) and then allows the air to expand, cool and ramp back up with the higher pressure air. This Quiet Insert comes stock in all new FMF Q4 mufflers. If you lost yours, this is the replacement you need.

Please choose the correct Insert for your muffler. If you are unsure of the year that your muffler was manufactured you can easily identify visually which insert you will need.

This is a new gasket for the cylinder head - head pipe junction. Installing a new one with your new header will ensure a good seal and no exhaust leak.

This is the gasket used between the header pipe and the stock muffler. This gasket is not needed for aftermarket mufflers!
