These Cogent Dynamic Drop-in Cartridges will vastly improve both the compression and rebound damping of your stock forks. These units have been given the seal of approval by the ProCycle staff for both performance and ease of installation. No disassembly of your forks, no drilling of damper rods. Just change the oil over to 5w and install the DDCs under the springs and hit the trails.
Damping Rod style forks are notorious for being too harsh, too mushy and too easy to bottom. Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators remedy this problem by controlling the compression damping with a tuneable valve. The Emulator sits on top of the damping rod and is held in place by the main spring.
Simply put; Emulators make damping rod forks perform like well-tuned cartridge forks. Installation and tuning for any condition or rider preference is very straight-forward.

Use this installation tool from Cogent to be sure that your Cogent Drop-in Dynamic Cartridges are installed correctly. A strong magnet in the end holds the cartridge firmly while you lower it into your fork leg. Then slide the spring over the tool until it holds the DDC down, then gently remove the tool. That simple. Never again question if it is properly seated on the damper rod.

The GPR v5 is the fifth generation steering damper designed for dirt bikes, adventure bikes but is also used on several of hybrid applications. Just take them off, flip them over to drain the oil, add new 5w oil, drop in the DDCs and then add the springs and spacers and then install the caps. Our 7.5 kg/mm rear spring is 16% stiffer than the stock one and is perfect for the majority of riders. If you are a larger rider, or carry a lot of gear or a passenger (total weight exceeding 250 pounds) you will probably want the 8.3 kg/mm rear spring which is 28% stiffer than stock.

This 'Bling Ring' replaces the two stock preload/lock rings. The ring is CNC machined aluminum with the additional thickness to provide superior support on the shock body.
The added needle bearing thrust washer will make preload adjustments much easier. The ring then spins much easier against the spring making adjustments quite a bit easier.
This part can easily be added to the Cogent or Race Tech Shock Shaft Assemblies, even after they are built.
To install the Bling Ring on a shock with a stock shaft it must either be disassembled or have the lower clevis removed.
