This regulator/rectifier requires ungrounded inputs from the lighting coil. Many lighting coils are internally grounded and will require modification often referred to as 'floating the ground'. This simply means cutting the grounded end of the lighting coil wire, extending it and running the extended end out of the case along with the original 'live' end of the lighting coil wire.

The DR650 has two unused 'switched' power plugs. One behind the headlight and another under the seat. This plug & pigtail assembly allows you to easily access a 12v power supply that is only on when your key switch is on.
Use it to power a GPS, charge a cell phone, run heated grips or even power a relay. Plug has leads approximately 1 foot long and a 7.5 amp miniature blade fuse.

The Battery Tender Junior Selectable is a trickle charger with a brain. It will keep your Lead Acid, AGM or Lithium battery fully charged so that it is ready to go when you are. It's fully automatic, compact, and lightweight.
This smart charger has battery chemistry selection and will automatically sense and select the battery type, then complete a 4-step charging program, (Initialization, Bulk Charge, Absorption Mode, Float Mode) with a max output of 800mA. It will automatically switch to float/maintenance voltage after fully charging the battery. If the battery voltage drops too low, full charging output resumes.
