B&B Engineering Bash Plate for the CRF250L is made from 5083 4mm aluminum plate. Gasket
Here's another item you might want to replace when you are changing out your front sprocket. Because of it's big back tire, the chain is further away from the center of the engine than most bikes. The engineers at Yamaha decided they had better support the end of the countershaft since it is cantilevered out there so far. They also figured they had better feed some oil out there as well. These Countershaft Seals keep that oil where it belongs, lubricating the countershaft outer support.

Damping Rod style forks are notorious for being too harsh, too mushy and too easy to bottom. Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators remedy this problem by controlling the compression damping with a tuneable valve. The Emulator sits on top of the damping rod and is held in place by the main spring.
Simply put; Emulators make damping rod forks perform like well-tuned cartridge forks. Installation and tuning for any condition or rider preference is very straight-forward.

Shock
This 'Bling Ring' replaces the two stock preload/lock rings. The ring is CNC machined aluminum with the additional thickness to provide superior support on the shock body.
The added needle bearing thrust washer will make preload adjustments much easier. The ring then spins much easier against the spring making adjustments quite a bit easier.
To install the Bling Ring on a Cogent or Race Tech Shock Shaft Assemblies, it must either be disassembled or have the lower clevis removed.
Cogent Dynamics takes a stock DR650 shock, tears it down, cleans it up, adds a hard ceramic coating, then rebuilds it with a completely new custom shim stack that gives you excellent rear wheel control.
This custom Cogent valve stack makes this shock behave much like the Cogent Shock Shaft without the rebound adjustment capability. Providing a greatly improved suspension feel over stock at an affordable price.

The Pro-Series’ sophisticated reservoir with interchangeable valves and shims, provides more tune-ability at all speeds. It also improves internal pressure balance and temperature dissipation, giving long lasting performance regardless of the punishment you put it through.
Comes standard with the CNC machined Bling Ring Preload Adjuster Collar and a thrust bearing between the adjuster ring and the spring making preload adjustments easy.
The optional Hydraulic Preload Adjuster makes it even easier to adjust the preload. Just twist the knob. Includes mounting bracket for knob unit. (See last image) (Some CA carb compliant models may need slight modification for mounting the preload adjuster.)
Select the spring you want installed based on the load you plan to carry. *Spring color may vary due to specification requirement and availability.
For riders (and gear) less than 250 pounds we recommend the 7.6 kg/mm spring.
If you regularly have more than 250 pounds on the bike, you might want to use the 8.15 kg/mm spring.
Low shock also available. This option will lower your seat height 1" without the need for lowering links. All other features of this shock are the same as the stock height.

Shock Shaft & Valving
The little WRs have decent shocks but it can surely be improved with a Rear Shock Gold Valve from Race Tech. This will improve the damping in both directions and make the clickers more responsive to adjustments.

Drivetrain
Retainer
The stock sprocket retainer will rub the chain when it is used with 13 and 14 tooth sprockets.
We have our own sprocket retainer laser cut from 13 gauge stainless steel. This retainer works with all 3-hole 13T, 14T, 15T and 16T DR650 countershaft sprockets.
Sprocket
For reference, the stock gearing for the WR250R is 13/43 while the X model runs with a 13/42 stock configuration because of the SM wheels/tires. Both use a 108 link chain with the stock gearing.
The JT rear sprockets listed are made from the finest 545C high carbon steel and are then heat treated and hand finished to meet or exceed OEM standards. Outlasts many mild steel or surface hardened sprockets as much as two and three times over.
Limited availability on Aluminum from PBI. Manufactured from aircraft 7075 T651 Plate Aluminum.
If you want the additional low-end grunt that the 46, 48 or 50 tooth rear sprocket will give you, you will need longer chain as well.
New Rear Sprockets require new Sprocket Bolts because of a difference in the holes vs. the stock bolts.

Chain Roller
Reduce the friction dragging down your drivetrain. This chain roller is made from Delrin®, it's self-lubricating and a significant improvement over stock.
Does not use a bearing but rides directly on the frame boss. There is no mounting hardware included.
The Moose Racing is a quality chain roller with 2 sealed ball bearings. The stock roller has no bearings. It's just a plastic wheel riding on a bolt. Ball bearing chain rollers are smoother, quieter and last longer.
Bolt Kit
This kit will replace your stock sprocket bolts, nuts and keepers with new hardware.
Many aftermarket sprockets are thinner where they bolt to the wheel and the threads on the stock bolts do not allow these sprockets to be tightened down all the way. These grade 10.9 bolts will alleviate that problem. They are the same length as the stock ones, but the threaded area is longer allowing stock sprockets or aftermarket sprockets to be securely tightened down.
The bolt keepers are genuine Yamaha replacement parts to ensure an accurate fit. It's a perfect upgrade if your keepers have been removed too many times.

Yamaha uses this seal material in many places on several motorcycles. It is like weatherstripping and is used to seal up the edges in the TW200 air-box. It seals up the air-box so that water and grime can't enter the air-box from the side. Ensures that air entering the box comes from up under the seat.

Low peg mounts for the DR From Wirtz Wire. These are different than our other mounts for several reasons. First, these are designed around the stock pegs. All of the pegs in this section will fit these mounts. Another difference is that these mounts are offered in a low mount as well as a low and rearward mount. These are 'wire EDM' machined from solid 1018 steel bar stock, and are not welded anywhere. They are powder coated black for a great look. Both mounts move the pegs down 2" while the low and rear mounts also move the pegs back 1.3".
Kit comes with new mounts, longer bolts and a longer brake switch spring that will be needed. Pegs are optional, your stock pegs will work.
The upper image shows the low and rearward mounts while the one below that is of the just low mounts. If you look at the two images below that, you will see that these are the low and rearward pegs for both sides of the bike.

A set of six high quality grade 10 sprocket bolts with lock nuts. Thread-lock compound has already been applied for extra security.
These bolts are flat head style, requiring a countersunk hole in the sprocket.

Use this installation tool from Cogent to be sure that your Cogent Drop-in Dynamic Cartridges are installed correctly. A strong magnet in the end holds the cartridge firmly while you lower it into your fork leg. Then slide the spring over the tool until it holds the DDC down, then gently remove the tool. That simple. Never again question if it is properly seated on the damper rod.
Works equally well for removal when you need to change your fork oil. Also works great with Race Tech Emulators.

The Edge-2 Tail Light and License Plate Holder is a simple bolt-on replacement for the stock unit. Included is an aluminum mount for the light and license plate that is model specific. The light unit uses 16 high-intensity red LED's for tail / stop light function. 3 white LED's are used for license plate illumination.
Included is a set of turn signal brackets that bolt to the mount, but these are designed for a smaller LED type signal with a mounting stud of just 8mm. Or consider the Edge-2 Upgrade Circuit Board as this converts your brake light into a functioning turn signal as well!
NOTE: LED's must be installed on a 12 V DC system!

Here is the little switch that mounts inside your brake or clutch lever perch and controls the brake light or clutch safety circuit. This switch often gets damaged in an unplanned dismount (aka: crash) or the plastic simply cracks from age. When this happens, you can find yourself chasing a short circuit that keeps blowing your fuse every time the brakes are applied. If this has happened to your TW, here's the fix!

The 12oclock Labs EXUP Emulator is used in place of the stock exhaust servo motor when you replace the stock exhaust with an aftermarket exhaust system. The microprocessor controlled EXUP, emulates the exact characteristics of the stock exhaust servo motor and its motor delay sweeps, keeping the ECU from displaying the dreaded check engine light. Weight is less than 1/2 an ounce and it is a direct plug and play replacement.

If you are looking to swap out your stock CDI box, the Big Gun Rev Box is an affordable alternative to highly-priced OEM replacement boxes. It increases the overall RPM limit over the stock box and advances the timing curve and is a direct plug-in replacement.
