The CB500X is a new "light" adventure bike from Honda in 2019. It has been around since 2013 but, until recently did it receive the appropriate upgrades to make it more adventure worthy.
Powering the CB500X is a 471cc fuel injected parallel twin with DOHC, all mated to a wet 6 speed transmission.

Race Tech Cartridge Emulators make damping rod forks perform like well-tuned cartridge forks. Emulators are tunable valves that sit inside your forks on top of the damping rods and are held in place by the fork springs. Simple to install and completely tunable for all conditions and rider preferences.
- Revolutionary low-friction design ensures high-quality suspension performance
- Constructed of FEP and tin composite, these PTFE-coated bushings have the lowest friction properties available
- Inner bushings mount on the inner (chrome) fork tube and have PTFE on the outside of the bushing; outer bushings mount on the outer (aluminum) fork tube and have PTFE on the inside of the bushing
- Sold in pairs
- Patented fork seal features a balanced 3 lip design that evenly distributes the pressure reducing operating temperature, wear and friction
- Custom Elastomer Fork Seals have been tested to outlast OEM fork seals. Extends typical seal life by 3 to 5 times over OEM seals
- Stiction (friction) measures from 1/3 to 1/2 less than OEM seals for smoother fork action
- Lower Stiction, Longer Life! It doesn’t get any better than this!
- Plus, the only complete line of dust wipers! Wipers should be replaced with the fork seals to assure peak performance
Fork brace precision machined from aluminum barstock. Drilled and tapped for optional lower fender attachment.
Hard anodized black for corrosion protection. Fits OEM forks. Split design allows for installing in minutes without having to remove the forks.
- Lower center of gravity for better launches and rider confidence
- CNC-machined for excellent fit and finish
- Fully adjustable applications allow adjustments in small increments
- Two or three lowering positions available from PSR's regular lowering links below (Hole 1=1"; this means Hole 1 lowers the bike 1")
Based on the wildly popular Race Tech Suspension Seminars taught by Paul Thede around the world, this step-by-step guide shows riders how to make their bikes handle like the pros. Thede gives the lowdown on all types of suspension, including cartridge and non-cartridge forks as well as dual-chamber and nitrogen-charged shocks.
The three forces of suspension, testing procedures, even the black arts of chassis geometry: This explains it all. The book provides step-by-step photos of suspension disassembly and assembly as well as a detailed troubleshooting guide for dirt, street and track.
The features of this tool include 300 psi capacity, bleeder valve and T-handle plunger pin chuck. Swivel chuck has a 12" flexible hose. Comes complete with instructions, carrying box and Schrader valve extension (required on some Showa shocks). Nitrogen bottles available at any welding supply house.
