I got a 2007 DR650 from a friend that had been sitting for a while and needed some attention. She leaked oil from the front rocker cover (which made the header smoke quite a bit as it burned it off), stumbled/died even at a 1600rpm idle, and backfired. I decided I would try replacing the valve cover orings, adjust the valve clearances, and rebuild the carb - I have never done any of this on a bike, so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. Figuring I should get the ProCycle Jet Kit, I decided to call and see if I could get some pointers. The gentleman who answered said he was fairly new at the job, but suggested that I might want to get the stock repair kit first to make sure there weren't any basic carb issues, as I could always get the jet kit later. He also took time to ask others in the shop who knew more about the bike about some other questions I had. When I saw that the stock rebuild kit was much cheaper than the Jet Kit, I knew that ProCycle truly cared about their customers and would give the right advice even if it meant a smaller sale. I dived in and rebuilt the carb, adjusted the valves to spec, and fixed the oil leak. She runs amazing, and starts almost instantly even cold with no choke. I am truly grateful for this company's awesome support.
