Scout Tread Design:
Most asked question, why do different sizes look different?(see link below) A new compound created new challenges in design. Heidenau took the opportunity at the inception of the Scout, to tailor the design to best suit the application. Incorporating feedback from customers and countless miles of testing, this resulted in tires looking different for the different bikes, but insuring the best performance.
K60 Tread design:

Fitment
Found in most common Enduro sizes for most manufactures as either a K60 or a K60 Scout. Every Scout is a K60, Not every K60 is a scout. If your rim requires an inner tube, a quality inner tube can be safely used with any K60 Scout.
The K60 Scout Cold Compound (CC) is a softer compound than the standard K60 Scout, delivering better cold traction and a small loss of tread life. Only available in super moto sizes.
