This Diode Kit is only necessary if you have a single dash indicator for your turn signals. One dash light for both left and right signals (such as on the DR650).
This kit allows power to flow in just one direction from the LED signals to the dash indicator light regardless of which direction you are signalling.
You may have noticed after installing aftermarket LED turn signals that your blink rate has significantly increased. OEM flashers are designed for standard bulbs which draw a few watts each, much more than typical aftermarket bulbs or LED signals. This device is an effective alternative to using load resistors because it consumes considerably less watts, consumes less space, and does not generate excessive heat.
The plug is exactly the same as the OEM unit making swap outs a cinch. No wiring changes, cutting and adding connectors. Just plug it in and you will have a steady flash at the DOT OEM flash rate when aftermarket LED turn signals are installed. Rebound Separator Valves replace the shock shaft nut with an asymmetric valve (provides a different flow rate in each direction of travel) to increase traction and improve bottoming resistance and pitch control.
Why is this needed? On a standard shock the Low Speed Rebound Adjuster flows the same on compression and rebound. In testing, when the lowest speed rebound damping is quick enough to get good traction, the lowest speed compression damping is too mushy. This causes a vague feeling and bottoming on long duration hits like big dips or gullies in Dirt. For Pavement RSV's have the added benefit of pitch control (front to back movement during acceleration and braking). This keeps geometry more consistent.
