Yes, plastic! This is a product from our friends at Acerbis. Ultra tough injection molded reinforced composite. Flexible Heavy-Duty Polypropylene will not effect chassis ability to flex, will not effect handling.

It's twice as thick as a metal skid plate but is only half the weight. Plastic glides over rocks and roots better than aluminum. It also reflects less engine noise.
