Designed to enhance overall performance when installing a high-flow jet kit. This CDI box enhancements include:
- Altered ignition advance curves
- Wire lead for a tachometer
This unit may also be used to replace a defective CDI box on a stock machine.
Please note that the internal circuitry of Rick's CDI unit necessitates the engagement of the clutch or kickstand neutral safety switch for proper operation. Specifically, the clutch must be engaged (pulled in) when the kickstand is in the down position. This requirement may not be present in the original Yamaha OEM CDI unit.
