Use this installation tool from Cogent to be sure that your Cogent Drop-in Dynamic Cartridges are installed correctly. A strong magnet in the end holds the cartridge firmly while you lower it into your fork leg. Then slide the spring over the tool until it holds the DDC down, then gently remove the tool. That simple. Never again question if it is properly seated on the damper rod.
Works equally well for removal when you need to change your fork oil. Also works great with Race Tech Emulators.

The Cogent Dynamics DDC valves are the most cost-effective upgrade you can make to your motorcycle’s forks. Unique and the first of its kind, a DDC kit is available to upgrade many motorcycles that are originally equipped with simple damper rod type forks as front suspension.
We do recommend stiffer than stock front springs to bring the full potential of the DDCs out. Up to about 200 pounds (rider with gear on) we recommend the .85 kg/mm springs. If you are above 200 pounds (rider with gear on) you should probably go with the 1.0 kg/mm springs.
Cogent Dynamics has created another winner - the 'World's Edge' shock for the 650 V-Strom the rear end you have wanted for all these years. This unit gives the DL650 excellent control with a firm but comfortable ride, both solo and two-up. This shock is equipped with adjustable damping control so you can customize the action to your preference. Please call for lowering options also if you need them.
The Bling Ring preload adjuster and thrust bearing on the spring make preload changes easy when you fill the bags and add a copilot. Keeping the ride height up can make the difference between a good handling motorcycle and a peg scraping pig. Want to make it easier yet? Add a Hydraulic Preload Adjuster like the stock shock has.
Includes mounting bracket.
Bikes with ABS require the hydraulic preload adjuster
