The story of ProCycle starts in 2002 when Jeff Homolka outgrew his two car garage "Small Time" machine shop and decided to rent an official commercial shop space. Before starting his machine shop, Jeff worked in the motorcycle industry as a mechanic and a parts manager. To help pay the rent of this new shop space, Jeff had the idea of drawing on his motorcycle industry experience to sell motorcycle parts to supplement his machining services.
One of the first products ProCycle created was a Dual Sport Wiring harness. At the time, you could convert many dirt bikes to being street legal if you just added the lights and mirrors, this wiring harness made that a snap. It didn't take long for the "supplemental" parts sales to overtake the machining services and ProCycle's focus started to change.
Jeff's favorite motorcycle at the time was an air cooled Ducati, he loved the power delivery of that V-twin but craved something that he could venture off-road with. Fixing Ducati wheels from traveling off the highway was getting tiresome. This is about the time that the Suzuki DR650 entered his life. It was definitely NOT love at first sight with the DR, but he saw the potential and decided it was the bike he would turn into his freedom machine. It was a simple machine, basically a big air cooled dirt bike that happened to be street legal. Jeff started creating parts to improve the mighty DR650 and this is when the ProCycle name started becoming known outside of Oregon.
It wasn't long before a larger shop was needed and the focus of ProCycle shifted completely towards just the sales of motorcycle parts. Around 2007, ProCycle moved into a much larger space and dropped the machining and service department all together. The machining tools now only worked to create prototypes of new products ProCycle would sell. In this new location, ProCycle grew from Jeff and just one employee to ten employees and exponential growth! By 2012 an even larger warehouse was needed, so the employees and products were moved to a new location on Main Street. We've been in this location since then and have continued to grow, adding more bikes and many more new products.
We want to extend a HUGE Thank You to YOU, our loyal customers, without you this would not be possible.
