Tank bags can be attached to your bike right behind the tank and sit in front of your chest while you ride. Because space is limited, we recommend keeping your most important items in this area. They are also easily removable, so you can take your entire bag with you when you get to a rest stop. Phones, cameras, wallets, sunglasses, and house keys are good items to put into you tank bag. Many of our bags also allow you to keep a paper map on top for ease of access.
Tail bags can sit on a rack above the rear fender. This is a good place to keep tools and spares. These bags are also typically easily removable, so you can bring them inside after a day's ride.
We've been working with OBR ADV Gear to develop a line of tank saddlebags that drape over your tank and attach using the gas cap. They feature quick-disconnect buckles so you can easily bring the bags with you. They also have MOLLE webbing on the outside to allow you to attach smaller items.
