First Place: Taylor Barnette
Taylor took this picture of his Yamaha XT250 in Southeastern Arizona. He was training for a rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon and decided to explore the backcountry for a bit after his training hike. The rough dirt roads were no problem for the XT, and as the sun was setting, the entire landscape lit up a fiery orange! Taylor’s dual-sport took him to places that would be otherwise inaccessible.
Second Place: Matthew Wirt
Matthew was also able to capture an amazing sunset shot for our contest. He was riding with his son in the Flint Hills of Kansas near Matfield Green when they came upon a mesmerizing sunset. They managed to position their motorcycles just right and capture the vivid colors! Over his 37 years of riding, Matthew most appreciates being able to meet local people of the places he visits, experience their values, and spend meaningful time with his son.
Third Place: Joseph Vaccarino
Joseph took his picture on a group ride with the Adventure Riders of Colorado. This particular ride was a technical one over 25 miles of hard terrain in the Rockies. Despite a few scrapes, Joseph and his DR650 made it through, and he was able to do another 100 miles or so the next day!
A huge congratulations to our annual calendar photo contest winners!
